Gill Jones - Churchwarden
Originally from Hertfordshire, Gill trained as a PE teacher in Eastbourne and has lived and worked in Dorset since 1980, teaching at 2 local schools until 2008. Following this she worked with the County Sports Partnership and Dorset Cricket Board organising sports competitions for primary and secondary school aged children before retiring in 2018.
Gill and her husband Alan have a grown-up son and daughter, and a 2 year old grand-daughter. They have been part of the St John’s congregation since the 1980’s and Gill has been involved with Sunday School and Messy Church; a member of Deanery Synod; a sidesperson and a member of the PCC and events committee.
Gill enjoys cycling and walking, doing jigsaw puzzles and baking. She also enjoy staying at Landmark Trust properties with her husband Alan, which are often quirky and interesting.
