Revd Paul Renyard - Assisting Priest
Paul trained for the Ministry at King’s College, London, and was made deacon in 1966 and priest in 1967, both in Canterbury Cathedral. He served curacies in Croydon and Farnham (Surrey). His first incumbency was in the Guildford Diocese when he was also Assistant Director of Education. He continued full time in a similar post for the Rochester Diocese. He then returned to parish work in the Diocese of Winchester, retiring after 41 years in paid Ministry. He was also a home tutor in the Ministerial training scheme run from Sarum College. Meanwhile he was heavily involved in ecumenical work, including a ten year stint as Chaplain to a national organisation supporting ecumenism and spirituality, which included leading Retreats and Quiet Days. He is married to Val, a retired secondary teacher and keen Guider. Their sons live in Bournemouth. In retirement they run groups through the U3A and help out at the Scout & Guide Trading post on Brownsea. They enjoy music, reading and solving puzzles. Paul gardens, and both enjoying exploring the County of Dorset and watching cricket.
